The Network was founded in 2014 with the purpose of mobilising businesses to engage in social corporate responsibility and mutual aid actions for our fellow citizens. The Network’s president, Nikos Pentzos, in an interview with Karfitsa, appealed to companies to embrace the Network’s actions and meet the needs of more institutions.
He stressed that helping the Network means strengthening the culture of civic solidarity and love for our fellow citizens. Mr Kympouropoulos appeared impressed by his visit to the TIF: “I liked all the pavilions I managed to see, India’s, the Hellenic Police’s, and more, but it was not easy to access all of them. That must change”, he said. “I am not criticising the TIF, but we must actively pursue change and put access to health, education, work, daily life into practice."
With a broad smile, Mr Kympouropoulos also commented on his role in the European Parliament: “It is my obligation to complete my work. I feel creative. I am a MEP for all Greeks. I feel responsible for the votes of 517,114 of our fellow citizens who elected me”, Mr. Kympouropoulos said in closing.
